The head of the Republic, Denis Pushilin, announced this in an interview published on the official website of the head of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People are dying again from Ukrainian shells. The other day in Gorlovka, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired large-caliber shells at the depot of the tram and trolleybus department. As a result of direct hits, 8 buses and 4 trolleybuses were rendered unusable. Who is Ukraine at war with? With civilians? By destroying infrastructure, he is trying to worsen the lives of ordinary people,” he said.
According to the head of state, in this way, Vladimir Zelensky is trying to put pressure on the republics and force them to peace on Ukrainian terms.
“Increasing shelling by Ukrainian armed forces is, unfortunately, a trend not just of one day, but of recent times. Perhaps Zelensky is trying in this way to increase pressure on the Republic in order to persuade us to his terms for resolving the conflict.
Using such methods, Ukraine will not achieve any positive changes, and any act of aggression will receive a worthy rebuff from our side,” Pushilin concluded.
