The DPR has decided on new heads of the local parliament, as well as the Central Bank and the Prosecutor General's Office. This was announced by Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Vladislav Berdichevsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The former head of local branches of Sberbank of Russia and Nadra Bank, Andrei Petrenko, became the new chairman of the Central Republican Bank of the DPR. He replaced Makeyevka resident Irina Nikitina, who had held the position since 2016.
In addition, today a resolution was adopted on the appointment of Andrei Spivak to the post of Prosecutor General of the Republic. Before the events of the Russian Spring, Spivak worked in the investigative department of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office. Then he received the post of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic. In 2014, he commented on the crash of a Malaysian Boeing - then Spivak said that Europe and Ukraine would not benefit from the truth about this tragedy.
Today, a new speaker of the DPR parliament was also elected instead of Denis Pushilin, who became acting. head of the republic. The People's Council will be led by Olga Makeeva, a former deputy speaker. Until 2015, Makeeva worked in the field of jurisprudence at several large enterprises in Donetsk.
