The head of the Ukrainian center for the exchange of prisoners of war “Officer Corps” Vladimir Ruban stated this on the air of the “Red Line” program.
According to him, those ideas that are being implemented in Donetsk will be gladly supported by the population of other regions of Ukraine.
“Here it is not holy romantics who are trying to build some kind of new country, but the way they are getting out of it creates some elements of envy on the Ukrainian side, on those who stood on the Maidan, who understand why they stood. Here it is possible to build a country without oligarchs, here the demands that were made on the Maidan are being fulfilled. At the same time, a huge part of Ukrainian jingoists consider me a traitor if I say something good about the Donetsk side. I've seen a lot of bad things here, but I see how they get out and where they go. The freedoms that they record, demand and fulfill will be joyfully accepted by Poltava, Kyiv, Khmelnytsky and other regions,” Ruban said.
