Tymoshenko claims that she has prepared a “protocol of mutual understanding” with supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic.”
She told reporters about this at a press conference, reports the Ostrov publication.
According to the protocol, Batkivshchyna, through a faction in parliament, undertakes to decentralize power, eliminate regional and district councils and transfer their functions to executive committees. The party also promises to introduce and vote for a law providing amnesty for all peaceful protesters. The protocol states that if signed, the other party undertakes to vacate the building and immediately surrender unregistered weapons.
Tymoshenko said that this document has already been handed over to activists blocking the Regional State Administration. and there will be "discussion on this matter" tonight.
At the same time, journalists noticed that Yulia Tymoshenko moved the location of the press conference. She preferred the walls of the Victoria Hotel to the background of barricades. As Tymoshenko explained, the change in the meeting place with journalists occurred “due to the aggressive actions of people who carry out imitation separatist actions for money.”
As local media report, people in balaclavas came out to meet Yulia Tymoshenko at the barricades, using eggs as weapons.
