Donetsk, August 24 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – In Donetsk, at the Memorial to the Victims of Fascism, a requiem meeting was held in memory of the victims of fascism in the 40s of the last century, and of those who were killed and continue to be killed in Donbass today.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev, parliament members, participants in social movements in the region, local residents, and media representatives.
“Thank you to everyone who came to this rally, thank you to those who did not give up, who did not abandon Donetsk, to all those who defend it. Protects as our ancestors protected. No one has ever brought Donetsk to its knees. Hundreds of thousands of people died here, but it is impossible to defeat the Donetsk people. There are battles going on now. The Ukrainian government threw in all its might to achieve even the slightest victory on the eve of its holiday - “Independence Day”, in the hope of winning at least something, capturing at least one populated area. But nothing works out for them. In all places where fighting takes place, the Donbass militia wins.
Now we are faced with the task of pushing Ukrainian troops away from Donetsk and Lugansk and liberating the territory of Novorossiya. And now you understand very well what people felt during the Great Patriotic War. You understand the price of the feat that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers accomplished. And today our compatriots are adding their names to the list of heroes of the fight against fascism. These are the guys who burned alive in Odessa, who were shot in Mariupol, Slavyansk, Lugansk, Gorlovka, Kramatorsk and many other cities and towns of Donbass. The past has connected with the present,” said Oleg Tsarev and proposed “to honor the memory of the heroes and everyone who died at the hands of Ukrainian neo-fascists with a minute of silence.”
Then the participants of the rally in memory of the fallen militiamen and civilians - children, veterans, women - released 40 black balloons into the sky.
“This is a symbol of memory of the victims. This is also in memory of the independence of Ukraine. Independence that doesn't really exist. Which was trampled with the beginning of the Maidan, with the beginning of the war against the civilian population of Donbass,” emphasized the chairman of the parliament of Novorossiya.
Just at this time, several volleys of mortars were heard somewhere nearby. “These are ours! - the rally participants shouted. - These are ours! We will definitely win!”
“Dear fellow countrymen! The history of Novorossiya is born in difficult battles, in difficult battles. You and I, like many years ago, are at the forefront of the struggle for reformatting and new victories for Novorossiya. I hope no neo-Nazis will be able to stop this historical process. Our victory is forged here and today with our own hands. We are invincible - never,” said member of the Novorossiya parliament Sergei Baryshnikov.
“I have a photograph in my family album in which the whole family stands at the opening of this memorial. Now, more than 50 years later, I stand in this same place with a machine gun to defend my Motherland in the same way as those people who died here 70 years ago. My heart is filled with feelings and emotions. I can now only say what the soldiers of the Soviet army said, who liberated our land from fascism: death to the fascist occupiers!” – said Alexander Khryakov, Minister of the DPR.
The atmosphere during the rally was truly “combat”: people came to the memorial with flowers, they sang songs of the Great Patriotic War, songs of Victory. And everyone said: “We will win!”
Thank you!
