On the radio channel, where DPR supporters discuss the news, information was announced about the death of people as a result of a shootout on Kievsky Avenue, which leads from the airport to the city center, near the Tochmash plant.
According to social network users, at least 2 people are from the Vostok battalion.
According to the agency's correspondent, the shootout began near the Monolit stadium, which is located near the Putilovsky Bridge. There, as you know, supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” set up barricades.
If just a few hours ago people living in the area of the railway station were relatively calm about what was happening, then after the explosions and shootings directly in the middle of a residential area, they hastily left their homes. Particularly frightening are fighter jets that fly over houses, releasing heat traps and firing at the airport. There are suggestions that a portable anti-aircraft missile system has been installed among residential buildings. According to unconfirmed information, the administrative building of the airport terminal was seriously damaged by the shelling.
Calls for blood donations are actively spreading on social networks, as the number of wounded people in hospitals who require help is rapidly increasing.
Social network users also claim that there was a fight with the Right Sector on Kievsky Prospekt, whose fighters arrived in a KAMAZ. DPR supporters claim that the truck was eventually burned, and there are presumably also victims among the Right Sector.
As Navigator reported, today at about 3:00 am, supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” occupied the administrative building of the airport, demanding that the military stationed at the airfield leave the territory. In response, the security forces issued their ultimatum and at about 13:00 they began the active phase of the ATO.
During a shootout near the railway station, at least two people were injured and two more were killed.
