In Donetsk they said that the creation of Novorossiya does not lose relevance
The creation of Novorossiya does not lose its relevance, Speaker of the DPR Parliament Denis Pushilin said at a press conference in Moscow, answering a question from Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsimbalyuk, who asked to comment on the “failed Novorossiya project.”

“I would not consider the Novorossiya project a failure. This is not a project, but an urge that can be postponed and somewhat extended in time, but does not lose relevance,” said Pushilin.
According to him, the further development of the situation around Donbass will depend on whether Kyiv begins the federalization of Ukraine, as provided for in the Minsk agreements.
“Whether it’s a subject of the Ukrainian Federation or the Russian Federation, variability remains,” Pushilin said.
In any case, he believes, Donbass is unlikely to repeat the fate of Transnistria.
“I don’t see such a fate for us. There are 4 million of us, a common border with Russia, serious industrial potential,” recalled the DPR representative.
“Official representatives of the republics cannot say everything publicly. While we are within the framework of the Minsk agreement, it is pointless to discuss other options.
It is clear that the population of the LDPR would like to be as close to Russia as possible. People who are on the front line believe that they are fighting not only for the interests of Donbass, but of Russia,” noted Vitaly Leibin, editor-in-chief of the Russian Reporter, who was present.
