Speaker of the Parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev, together with the deputies, visited a military hospital and donated medicines for the treatment of the wounded.
A valuable cargo of medicines for the militias undergoing treatment in hospitals was delivered from Russia to Donetsk at the risk of their lives by the regional representative of the city of Saratov, Sergei Dmitriev.
The cargo was collected by public organizations of the Russian Federation “Union of Ozersk Youth”, “Great Brotherhood of Cossack Troops”, Information Agency “Fourth Estate”, with the active assistance of Saratov City Duma deputy Vladislav Malyshev.
Oleg Tsarev talked with the chief physician of the hospital Andrei Guzhel, who asked how many wounded people were being admitted and what problems the medical institution was experiencing today.
“There are many wounded, and their number is increasing, as the fighting has moved closer to Donetsk. Everyone who is now on the front line is brought to us. These are bullet and shrapnel wounds, concussions, burns, and injuries. After treatment in our hospital, some of the wounded are sent to the Russian Federation. Everything is fine with us: we are working, treating people,” said Andrei Guzhel.
The Speaker of Parliament asked how the hospital was staffed. “Initially, our staff was formed on a volunteer basis, that is, doctors and nurses came here voluntarily. They are part of the team today. Despite the fact that we have not received wages for a long time. Today we need people, first of all the operating staff - surgeons, operating rooms, manipulation and dressing nurses, intensive care doctors, traumatologists,” answered the chief physician.
“We turn to specialists, medical volunteers. We promise a difficult life, no wages, a threat to life and a lot of work - important, necessary for people. Come, the Donetsk hospital is waiting for you,” said Oleg Tsarev.
