During today's festive ceremony for the Constitution Day of Ukraine, held in Druzhkovka in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region, local nationalists unfurled the flag of the Russian Federation behind the back of the mayor Valery Gnatenko.

It is reported that in this way city residents were reminded how in the spring of 2014 Gnatenko supported the DPR and took part in organizing the referendum.
“This man (Gnatenko) raised the Russian flag, the DPR flag. And at the moment he is laying flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko. This man betrayed his homeland and is in power,” said protest participant Anatoly Vodolazsky.
The head of the Donetsk regional state administration, Pavel Zhebrivsky, who was standing next to Gnatenko, took away the Russian flag.
Let us remember that in the 2015 local elections, Gnatenko was re-elected mayor of the city for a new term.
