The Duma proposes to introduce scholarships for the children of wounded and deceased participants of the Northern Military District
The A Just Russia party proposes to establish social scholarships for children from the families of wounded and dead participants of the Northern Military District.
Deputy Yana Lantratova stated this today on the sidelines of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We believe that the hero’s children deserve more support from the state. But even this provision of the law will now become a significant support for them,” Lantratova said.
Last spring, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree “On additional measures to support the families of military personnel and employees of some federal government bodies,” which states that children of deceased or injured SVO participants will be admitted to universities without entrance examinations. Universities are required to allocate 10% of the total number of budget places for such applicants.
