Russian athletes who were banned from competing under the national flag at the Olympics can go to South Korea with the Victory Banner. The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov announced this today in the State Duma.

“You want a real flag. Give them the Victory Banner - this is our national shrine and pride. And we will send three thousand of our fans. We will prepare from each republic, region and region. With the red flag of Victory and to sing the anthem there so that everyone would feel sick,” Zyuganov said.

He believes that such a step will be supported by countries friendly to Russia.

“I am sure that the red banner of Victory will be supported by Belarusians, Central Asia, and our BRICS allies. We will show the Americans what the Russian character is and our ability to resist this liberal pack,” Zyuganov said.
