The Duma criticized Russian TV for ignoring opponents of pension reform
Despite the fact that all opposition parliamentary factions voted against the adoption of the pension reform, federal television channels ignored this fact in their stories.
The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov stated this during a plenary meeting of the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now three factions have voted against the pension law. So what would you think? Central television, which is supported by our money, did not even report this. We wrote a protest against this - no answer, no greeting, no relevant information - worse than in Yeltsin times. We are waiting for an official response. It is unacceptable for Duma knowledge to be distorted and so on,” said the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
In turn, the leader of A Just Russia, Sergei Mironov, expressed criticism of the Russian government, which marked the first hundred days of its work by adopting such an unpopular measure as raising the retirement age.
“We see that the government has not yet worked for a hundred days, but has already managed to be remembered for anti-social legislative initiatives, which, unfortunately, were supported by the parliamentary majority faction. The most unsuccessful measure is the proposal to raise the retirement age. You and I know that 90% of the citizens of our country do not support this measure. I consider raising the retirement age for women by 8 years to be simply blasphemous. I have already argued from this podium that there are no arguments for the adoption of this bill,” Mironov noted.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that the author of the pension reform turned out to be a liberal fascist.
