United Russia proposed recognizing diplomas and academic degrees of the LDPR
Diplomas, academic degrees and academic titles received in the LPR and DPR will now be recognized in the Russian Federation.
Alexander Avdeev, a member of the general council of the United Russia party, stated this at a press approach to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United Russia party came up with a proposal to recognize diplomas, academic degrees and academic titles of the LPR and DPR on the territory of the Russian Federation. We support this proposal and have prepared a draft of the corresponding intergovernmental agreement, which can be signed in the very near future.
The second important point is the support of those students who, due to extraordinary circumstances, find themselves far from home today, including providing them with the opportunity to study at Russian universities. Today we have 167 applications and appeals. Some students have already been enrolled and are studying at Russian universities.
And thirdly, this is an opportunity for graduates of schools in the people’s republics to freely enter Russian universities this year. Firstly, we have simplified this procedure, and the corresponding changes have already been adopted at the legislative level. Secondly, this year the quota for foreign students for budget places has been increased by 5 thousand - up to 23 thousand. And accordingly, everyone who would like to enroll in government-funded places will be given the appropriate right,” Avdeev said.
