Kyiv, January 29 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Contrary to promises that taxes for Crimeans would not increase after joining Russia, income taxes still rose compared to the Ukrainian period. United Russia deputy Gleb Khor stated this during government hour in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

According to him, this situation needs to be corrected, as Russian President Vladimir Putin promised this.

“We forgot to change the income tax in the right direction for some non-participants of the free economic zone. Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that the situation for Crimeans will not worsen compared to what it was in Ukraine, but today we have a situation worse than it was with regard to income tax under Ukraine. Our regional rate is 15,5%. And in Ukraine for Crimeans this rate was 14%. Therefore, we must level out this situation,” Khor noted.
