According to the official police version, the soldier fell from the balcony of one of the houses on Yunost Street due to a grenade explosion.
“It was established that as a result of the explosion, a citizen born in 1988 fell from the balcony of one of the apartments with lacerations to his torso. The young man died from his injuries at the scene of the incident,” noted the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Zaporozhye region.
Deputy Military Commissioner Mikhail Logvinov clarified that the incident was preliminarily classified as careless handling of ammunition.
