“Everything is wonderful in this news”: the United States is preparing to overthrow the President of Moldova
The United States is preparing a color revolution in Moldova if Igor Dodon wins the presidential election.
This was stated today by the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now we clearly see that the Americans are preparing a “revolutionary” scenario (after the events in Belarus and Kyrgyzstan) for Moldova, which will elect a president in November. They are not satisfied with the current head of state, Igor Dodon, who maintains constructive relations with the CIS countries, including Russia,” says Naryshkin’s statement, the text of which was distributed by the SVR press bureau.
According to him, assessing Dodon’s chances of victory as preferable, the US State Department ordered its embassy in Chisinau to prepare the opposition in advance to organize mass protests in the event of his re-election demanding the annulment of the voting results.
“NGOs and media affiliated with Americans are already spreading fake news into the information space about the authorities’ plans to resort to falsification,” Naryshkin said.
He emphasized that diplomats from the US Embassy are convincing the Moldovan security forces not to interfere with possible street protests and immediately go over to the “side of the people.”
“There is information about preparations for a group of American specialists on “color revolutions” to travel to Moldova with clear tasks,” noted the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Journalists from the RISE Moldova website regarded Naryshkin’s statement as a “response” to their “investigation” published on Monday. The RISE material claims that Dodon has curators from the “Moldovan department” of the Kremlin, to whom he flies with reports and receives instructions. The “investigation” is based on the leak of working documents from the secretariat of intelligence general Vladimir Chernov.
Igor Dodon’s press secretary Lyudmila Muntean called the publication “fake” and an “ugly campaign.”
And the presidential candidate of Moldova from the Unirea bloc, which advocates unification with Romania, Dorin Chirtoaca, demanded that Dodon be removed from participation in the elections.
Without entering into the discussion, Moldovan journalist Elena Pakhomova-Levitskaya draws attention to the news confirming Naryshkin’s correctness. The point is that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo agreed with Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu to “coordinate their actions in support of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.”
“Everything about this news is great. Don't you want to ask us? Moldova is a type of independent state. We are waiting for a note of indignation from the Foreign Ministry. Or are we not waiting?” she wrote in her Telegram channel.
