This year, the most students in Ukraine will be from Lvov, the least from the Lugansk region
More than 335 thousand school graduates are going to take part in the main session of external independent assessment (EIA) in 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the director of the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment (UCAQE) Vadim Karandiy.
“In total, 335843 people registered to participate in the main session of external independent testing,” Karandiy said at a press conference on Thursday in Kyiv.
According to him, the most popular subject is Ukrainian language and literature, in second place is the history of Ukraine, then mathematics.
Karandiy noted that the least number of people who wanted to be tested registered for the subject “chemistry” - 21978 people.
333171 people registered to take the test in Ukrainian language and literature, 168927 in Ukrainian history, 112023 in mathematics, 89312 in English, 82320 in biology, and 79711 in geography. As you know, the Russian language was excluded from the list of subjects for testing.
The most numerous in terms of the number of EPE participants are Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Lvov regions. The smallest number of participants registered for the UPE is in the controlled part of the Lugansk region.
The director of the UTSKO also noted that in the structure of registered participants of the EIT, 55,24% are graduates of the current year, 36,03% are students of vocational institutions and 8,73% are graduates of previous years.
“An additional registration period for ATO participants who live in temporarily occupied territory or in settlements where government authorities temporarily do not exercise their powers will be held from May 3 to May 21,” the message says.
An additional EPE session is scheduled for July.
According to the EIT schedule posted on the UTSKO website, in 2018 the EIT in mathematics will take place on May 22, the Ukrainian language and literature - on May 24, the EIT in Spanish, German, French is planned for the same month, and the EIT in other subjects will take place from 1 until June 13.
