SP-2 will be put into operation this year
By the middle of this year, the Nord Stream gas pipeline will be completed.
The head of the Institute of National Energy, Sergei Pravosudov, told Izvestia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we take into account all the unfavorable conditions as much as possible - storms, breakdowns, then it will be completed somewhere by the middle of the year. Then the tests will begin, and it’s difficult to say how long they will last. Depends on whether any faults are identified. But this usually takes several months. One way or another, the project will probably be put into operation this year,” Pravosudov predicts.
According to him, difficulties may arise when the gas pipeline starts operating. The main question is how much SP-2 will be loaded and in what time frame it will be brought to full capacity.
