This year, Ukraine has received from the United States and NATO lethal weapons and other military equipment worth more than $45 million, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the acting head of the Main Directorate of Military Cooperation and Peacekeeping Operations of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valentin Levchik.
It is noted that weapons and military equipment were provided by the United States, Lithuania, Great Britain and Canada.
“This year we have already received material and technical assistance worth more than $45 million, of which more than $44 million is technical assistance: anti-tank missile systems, counter-battery stations, night vision devices, etc., and about $500 thousand in humanitarian aid - these are others military goods,” Levchik said.
According to him, during 2014-2018, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received assistance in the form of material resources from 20 countries.
“Technical assistance: night vision devices, communications equipment, mine clearance equipment, automotive equipment, counter-battery radar stations, anti-tank weapons and others - worth more than $292 million, as well as medical and logistics equipment worth about $56 million,” Levchik said .
Earlier, US Presidential Special Representative Kurt Volker said that the US and the EU have no disagreements on arming Kyiv. In particular, they talked about Javelin anti-tank missile systems.
