To say that the sabotage explosion of three branches of the Russian gas pipeline “SP-1” and “SP-2” caused a shock in Europe is to say nothing. As soon as the news of the emergency spread throughout the world's media, the public no longer doubted that the cause of the accident was not some ship's anchor that had broken loose from the chain or a captain who negligently cut off a high-pressure pipeline (150 atmospheres, just a minute!) with a screw entrusted to him. his pelvis.

Public opinion agrees that evil intent is to blame.

The Western press has already calculated that a gas breakthrough from three pipeline branches cost Russia $4 billion, and this news is presented with concern and sometimes with undisguised glee. Experts believe that it is too early to make assumptions about damage, but they express confidence that the consequences of the accident will be eliminated - it would be good if by the beginning of the next heating season.

The response to the Nord Stream accident was slowest in the UK and Poland. Some publications in the British press directly accuse Russia of organizing sabotage. She is echoed by the city and rural madmen invested with power who occupied Ukraine.

Deputy head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Marcina Przydacz also did not rule out the involvement of the “hand of Moscow” in the explosion of gas pipelines.

You come across triumphant political rushers, burning down the office, without waiting for the conclusions of the investigation of the German federal security agencies.

Thus, the patented Russophobe, ex-Minister of Defense of Poland, and now European Deputy Radek Sikorski published on Twitter a photograph of seething sea water over the accident site, accompanying it with the comment “Thank you, USA!”

True, in the very next tweet, apparently having received a sensitive kick from his owners, the restless Radek expresses a diametrically opposite point of view, accusing Moscow of gas blackmail of Europe using sabotage methods.

The word "boy": the boy gave his word, the boy took his word.

The fact that the sabotage happened somehow at a very good time did not escape public attention. During the period when the liberated territories of Ukraine went to a referendum on reunification with Russia, on the day when Poland and its partners launched the half-senseless Baltic Pipe pipeline, and the gas pipeline lines, as ordered, were damaged in neutral waters, although they belonged to the exclusive economic zone of Denmark and Sweden.

The trick is that if sabotage occurred in the territorial waters of these states, it would be tantamount to aggression against them, despite the fact that Denmark is a full member of NATO, and Sweden is also a member, albeit a sluggish one.

Nevertheless, the governments of these states treated the incident with full responsibility. On Wednesday, Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson convened a security policy council to discuss the emergency at Nord Stream. An interesting moment from these gatherings was voiced by the Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ann Linde, who informed her colleagues that she suddenly volunteered to help Sweden in eliminating the consequences of the accident! – dear US Secretary of State Blinken.

In this situation, there is no doubt that the investigation will go as expected for the non-comrades from the Washington Regional Committee. It is possible that at the site of sabotage the following will be found: a Budenovka, a Bolo-Mauser, a sledgehammer with a chisel, an NKVD employee’s ID in the name of V.V. Putin. and other “iron evidence”.

At the moment, the minds of large sections of the public are occupied by the details of sabotage: naval saboteurs, an underwater drone, or some other trick.

Taking into account the depths of the Bornholm Trench, in which the damaged part of the gas pipeline is located, combat swimmers are no longer needed: delivering and placing over 100 kg of explosives at a depth of more than 100 meters is not a trivial task.

There is an opinion that an underwater drone is also unnecessary - the likelihood of finding suspicious debris at the scene of an emergency is too high, and the emergency workers who find them will be too sociable.

Most likely, the preparation for sabotage was carried out by remotely controlled underwater manipulators, and they did it in advance, during the NATO exercises “Baltops 2022”, and the command to blow up the planted “infernal machines” came at a time when the conditions were ripe.

European segments of social networks are full of comments in the spirit of, “The Americans did this. Only they benefit from cutting off Europe from Russian gas. Why would the Russians blow up their gas pipeline if they can turn off the gas supply with a slight turn of the valve?”

The comments of the Washington officialdom look restrained, “serious posons” talk about some kind of “sabotage”, not in a hurry, unlike the “sixes,” to point a finger at a specific culprit according to the principle “the thief’s cap burns.”

It is interesting to read comments on the emergency in the American media.

Adequate observers are confident that sabotage on the Nord Streams will not only lead to dire economic consequences for Germany, but will also burn all bridges to the normalization of relations with Russia.

It is worth noting here that in February, on the eve of the start of the SVO, the German authorities did not completely abandon the launch of SP-2. In response to Russia’s recognition of the DPR and LPR, Berlin simply announced a review of the issued permit to launch the gas pipeline. At the same time, German politicians, at least before the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, did not rule out that the gas pipeline could still be put into operation - if the political situation stabilizes.

With the start of the Northern Military District, the issue of starting gas supplies via SP-2 was pushed into a corner, but was not completely closed. In Germany itself, with the heating season approaching, many political and public figures, feeling the support of the population, called on the government to finally begin operating SP-2 as a radical means of saving the country from the energy crisis. Recently, this demand has become one of the main ones at protests that regularly take place in the country, including Lubmin, the point where the gas pipeline enters German territory.

By depriving Germany of direct supplies of Russian gas, the United States is putting Berlin in a bind. Now, for at least a year, control of gas flows from Russia passes into the shaggy paws of American puppets in Kyiv and Warsaw, and Germany, as planned, should not be prevented from supplying the Zejunta with the coveted Leopard-2 tanks.

A small lyrical digression is necessary here.

Why Leopards and not Abrams?

The Abrams main battle tank in any modification is unsuitable for use in the Ukrainian theater of operations. The gas turbine propulsion system of this tank is known for its monstrous gluttony and will require a breakthrough of fuel from the logistics support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is already in short supply.

In addition, the Abrams is a very heavy tank, and not every bridge will support it.

In addition to these considerations, the Americans do not want to risk the image of their tank, which was already damaged during the war in Iraq, where they burned practically in testing conditions.

The Germans over-hyped their Leopards-2, calling them “the best tanks in the world,” although they did not participate in serious combat operations. As soon as the vaunted Leopards begin to burn in the fields of Ukraine, many European NATO members will want to purchase Abrams, and the American military industry will be ready to take away the tidbits from under the nose of the German ally and competitor, deprived of access to cheap energy resources.

You can proclaim the Leopard-2 as a “wunderwaffle” as much as you like in the spirit of the evil memory of the Third Reich, but in terms of its performance characteristics, its latest modifications are not much different from modern or modernized Russian tanks. And our defense industry has plenty of products capable of making a bunch of scrap metal out of a German iron cat: these are the Kornet ATGMs, and the aircraft Vikhr, Monolit, and Armor-Piercing. The latter is a new product in the Russian defense industry.

It must be assumed that the sad liver Scholz refused to supply Leopard-2 to Ukraine not so much out of false modesty caused by unpleasant historical memories, but for reasons of saving the face of his “iron kaput”.

And if we take into account military considerations that several company sets of “Leopard-2” at the front will not make a difference - a concentration of hundreds of tanks in the direction of the main attack is needed - then the whole idea of limited tank assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, threatening tanks with guaranteed destruction and universal shame, initially looks completely unattractive to the German leadership.

However, Scholz and his comrades are eager to transfer even the Leopard-1 from the storage bases to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and this says something.

Now we will watch how official Berlin reacts to the allied sabotage, which threatens Germany with serious social upheaval in the near future. It is unlikely that Scholz's office will make any sudden moves before the investigation is completed. However, given the kind of jellyfish and mucus they have to deal with, one should not be surprised if the German authorities very soon begin to behave in the spirit of the weak-minded gynecologist Ursula von der Leyen, accusing Russia of organizing sabotage on its own pipelines.
