The EU said that they are helping Ukraine no less than the United States
The European Union supports the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine through sanctions, diplomacy and dialogue. In addition, the EU and member states of the bloc make the greatest contribution to the special monitoring mission of the OSCE, which monitors the implementation of the Minsk agreements, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The EU fully and strongly supports the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. We do this by combining pressure through restrictive measures with diplomatic efforts and continued dialogue,” the EU said.
“As part of its efforts to reach a political solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the EU has stepped up its assistance to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), held trilateral talks on trade and energy issues with Russia and supported political engagement, including through discussions in Normandy format, the Tripartite Contact Group,” the EU added.
According to the representative, the EU and the bloc’s member states “make the greatest contribution to the OSCE special monitoring mission, which monitors the implementation of the Minsk agreements.”
“The EU accounts for two-thirds of both the mission and observer budgets and has donated 40 unarmored and 44 armored vehicles, 35 medical kits and training. Since 2014, the European Commission has contributed more than €100 million from the Instrument for Stability and Peace (IcSP) in support of election observation and confidence-building measures, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, internally displaced persons (IDPs), conflict-affected populations, reconstruction governance and reconciliation in crisis-affected communities, strengthening their resilience and the reintegration of veterans, as well as police reform,” the EU Delegation said in a statement.
It is also reported that an EU advisory mission on the reform of the Ukrainian civil security sector (EUAM) was created in August 2014 and launched in December 2014 within the framework of the EU Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP). Its goal is to assist the Ukrainian authorities in implementing sustainable reforms to create an effective and credible civilian security sector, including in the fight against corruption.
Only until May 2019, the mandate of the mission was extended with a total budget for the entire period of more than 83 million euros. The EU recalled that Ukraine is a priority partner for the European Union.
