In Yevpatoria, the FSB caught fraudsters who caused millions of losses to the city
FSB officers in Yevpatoria detained local businessmen who illegally enriched themselves by 12 million budget rubles.
This was reported by the Investigative Committee for Crimea and Sevastopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Investigators found that the entrepreneurs received a contract from the municipal budgetary institution “Order” to clean the city, but the work performed did not in fact correspond to the submitted certificates.
“The director of the management company recruited two individual entrepreneurs as co-executors, who misled him and provided invoices for payment, which contained deliberately false information regarding the volume of work performed.
Based on the submitted documents, the MBU “Order” transferred funds to the entrepreneurs. At the same time, the actual cleaning work performed in Yevpatoria did not comply with the acts, as a result of which the city administration suffered damage totaling over 12 million rubles,” the statement says.
Almost the same amount of money was illegally received by another director of a commercial enterprise, who was also detained.
“As part of the ongoing joint work of the Main Investigation Department and the FSB department, the involvement of another person in these crimes was established - the director of a commercial enterprise, who caused damage to the administration of the city of Yevpatoria in the amount of more than 12 million rubles. Currently, criminal cases against three defendants have been combined into one proceeding,” the report notes.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the FSB opened a criminal case against one of the most famous mayors of the peninsula - the mayor of Yevpatoria Andrei Filonov, who is suspected of exceeding his official powers causing grave consequences.
