“You should not give Russia the opportunity to portray this conflict as a confrontation between two equal types of nationalism,” advises the British expert. – Sometimes there are speculations that do not allow us to show this conflict as a confrontation between democratic European and totalitarian Eurasian values. At the same time, the Briton recommended that Ukraine focus not on nationalism, but on European principles of multiculturalism.
“These principles are to support diversity and protect ethnic and linguistic minorities,” said David Clarke. “Anything that goes against the idea of European pluralism allows Russia to oppose Ukraine as a country that contradicts European norms.”
