“There are tectonic changes in European politics in favor of the Russian Federation”
The European Union is not introducing new sanctions against Russia, and previous measures are not having the desired effect on Moscow.
The ex-representative of Ukraine at the negotiations in Minsk, diplomat Roman Bessmertny, said this on Hromadsky TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Bessmertny emphasized that large international companies continue to cooperate with the Russian Federation, despite the sanctions imposed by the West.
“In essence, this Minsk format is holding Russia by the tail. By the tail already. He is not holding by the body, but only by the tail... Sanctions have been adopted - name me at least one French enterprise that has terminated contracts with Russia. They didn't terminate the contracts...
Tectonic changes are taking place in European politics, and they are benefiting Russia. They are going slowly, but let's see - the elections to the European Parliament. Yes, Russia did not achieve what it wanted, but it has moved forward. It is not Ukrainians who should be afraid of this, but Europeans. And we need to understand that if the world does not unite today, we will have to live with war for a very long time,” said Bessmertny.
