There is growing sentiment in the European Union in favor of canceling support for Kyiv
In the European Union, sentiment is gradually growing in favor of canceling unconditional support for Kyiv, which refuses to comply with the Minsk agreements. The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union, Vladimir Chizhov, stated this on the Rossiya24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As for the law on the reintegration of Donbass, there is currently no official EU reaction to the law on reintegration. Most EU countries are trying to shift this problem onto the shoulders of Berlin and Paris, the participating countries of the Normandy format. Berlin's reaction is restrained; this law needs to be studied and only then conclusions drawn. In Paris, the tone is somewhat different; for some reason they do not see the contradictions between this law and the Minsk agreements, although, in essence, this law sends the Minsk agreements to the trash can,” he said.
Vladimir Chizhov is trying to convey to European politicians that the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the law on the reintegration of Donbass are incompatible.
“Of course, I have already done this and will continue to do this. There is no clear reaction yet, but after our explanations the situation is at least beginning to be taken seriously,” he said.
Europeans are most concerned about the internal situation in Ukraine, the diplomat noted.
“These are issues of corruption, judicial reform, etc. It would be wrong to say that the situation in Ukraine causes great joy among partners in Europe. There is criticism, public and not. It’s about the same as with the same sanctions - the EU has driven itself into a corner, both with sanctions and with support from Kyiv.
It becomes very difficult for him to abandon sanctions and unconditional support for Kyiv; this requires serious political will.
We see signs that it is accumulating, but it has not accumulated yet,” Chizhov said.
