A seven-year-old boy and an eleven-year-old girl, brother and sister were injured. The boy flew over the hood of the car.
According to eyewitnesses, several cars driving along the highway slowed down to let the children pass, and the traffic police car began to overtake the convoy in the oncoming lane, turning on the siren. It was the police car that hit the children.
The children were hospitalized. At the moment, the girl’s condition is satisfactory, she has extensive hematomas, but she is at home. The boy is in the traumatology department of the children's hospital, conscious, and his lacerated wound has been stitched up. According to the father, the child is regularly injected with painkillers.
Meanwhile, doctors refuse to conduct a brain tomogram, citing his satisfactory condition. The parents intend to take their son to Simferopol.
The boy's father said that the traffic police sergeant who hit the child tried to negotiate with the children's mother, but the medical staff of the children's hospital where the meeting took place supported the woman, and the policeman was asked to leave.
On Friday, the children's father and other witnesses spotted him at a post in the Neftebazy area.
The head of the Feodosia traffic police, Igor Koiban, explained to his father personally that this officer had been temporarily suspended from service and had surrendered his service weapon.
The press center of the Crimean State Traffic Inspectorate does not comment on information about hitting children.
