It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
Passport in an hour" is a pilot project of the Federal Migration Service, which started in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. Soon, such points for receiving documents for issuing a passport in one hour will be opened in the territorial divisions of the Federal Migration Service in all regions of the Republic.
In the future, the “passport in an hour” project will be implemented in all regions of the Russian Federation.
“All residents of the peninsula who have all the necessary documents ready to obtain a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation will be able to apply for this service.
Citizens can also apply to correct errors made in already issued passports. This service is free. State duties are not collected from citizens for the entire transition period,” the statement says.
Meanwhile, for an ordinary Simferopol resident, applying for and obtaining a passport is still a difficult task. So, at the passport office of the Central District, people sign up in the queue for issuance, which starts at 14.00, in the morning.
“I signed up for delivery at noon on Thursday, but this has already started! I was 107th, but they say the first thirty will be on the list. What will happen to the others, they say, is unclear,” an eyewitness told Navigator over the phone, noting that this was the fifth time she was trying to get a passport.
