In Galicia, buckwheat, matches and candles are being swept out of supermarkets
Much of the Ukrainian population is far more afraid of the reprisals that would follow martial law than of an attack from Russia.
Lviv journalist Elena Boyko spoke about this on air on the NTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My daughter, and my friends, relatives and acquaintances from all regions of Ukraine called me, and, interestingly, they called from those regions where there is no martial law. In those regions where it was introduced, they are most worried about blocking accounts, squeezing out business and not allowing them to escape in time, because some already assume that they will have to escape. Nobody is afraid that Russia will attack, they are afraid of reprisals due to the introduction of martial law. In Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathia, buckwheat, matches, and candles were swept out of supermarkets. Everyone is afraid of Poroshenko,” Boyko said.
Let us remind you that in Ukraine declared martial law in some regions bordering the Russian Federation.
