“There are no restrictions for residents of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions during conscription into the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They are also subject to conscription, like residents of other regions of Ukraine,” the message says.
The General Staff reminds that in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service”, every citizen of Ukraine upon arrival at a new place of residence must register for military service at the nearest military commissariat within seven days.
It is noted that, on a voluntary basis, every citizen of Ukraine has the opportunity to contact the nearest military commissariat on issues of conscription for military service.
“It is important to remember that citizens who are voluntarily conscripted into the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the right to choose a combat military unit in which they plan to serve,” the department noted.
The General Staff emphasized that the Lugansk and Donetsk regions completed the planned tasks during the previous stages of mobilization in full.
