Even repeat offenders, that is, persons who have repeatedly served sentences in prison, are subject to mobilization into the Ukrainian army.

Alexander Pravdivets, deputy head of the mobilization department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared this information in an interview with the Kyiv magazine Focus.
“Only those who have committed grave and especially grave crimes, the articles of which provide for from five years of imprisonment to life imprisonment, are removed from the register,” said a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “At the same time, if a person has served 5 years a year, for example, for theft, he is subject to mobilization.”
