Germany wants to take the EU out of US influence and make friends with the Russian Federation
The European Union needs to stop moving in line with American politics and not conflict with Russia and China.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, the EU should return to considering the possibility of creating a “united Europe” from Lisbon to Vladivostok.
“We are in vain going into these conflicts now and are again moving into the bosom of American politics. Yes, they have their own geopolitical disputes with China in Asia, Europe must remain more autonomous in this matter, otherwise it will receive all these blows from both the American and Chinese sides. Relations with Russia are not established.
I believe that Europe needs to pursue a more constructive policy towards Russia. I'm not talking about the current problems that exist. In the future, we have largely lost the vision of a greater Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok.
I think that this is a positive concept, because it will include a country such as Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova - all other countries that, in this concept, within the framework of an expanded OSCE, could all receive security guarantees, the current front lines would go away. It seems to me that all this is possible,” Rahr said.
