“The launch of Nord Stream 2 is being discussed in Germany. This is panic” - Belkovsky
Russia still has a lot of resources to put pressure on the West to slowly fulfill its economic obligations, despite all the sanctions imposed against Moscow.
Russian liberal political strategist Stanislav Belkovsky, who fled to Israel, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia can hold out for quite a long time, no matter what. Since China and India buy oil, albeit at a large discount of 35-40%, the money that Russia receives is still significantly higher than the level of the oil price budgeted. Therefore, Russia will be able to fulfill its budget obligations even with such dramatic discounts.
Putin believes that he is quite successful in gas blackmail against Europe, and it cannot be said that he is completely wrong. The same Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, stated the fact that because of sanctions against Russia, four European governments have already fallen, this is some exaggeration, but really, Europe is shaking,” the settler reasoned.
He emphasized that the imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation have no effect on Moscow, while in Germany there are already expert assessments stating the need to launch Nord Stream 2.
“There are elements of panic. First of all, in Germany, where they are already discussing it in all seriousness, although most likely this will not happen, but, nevertheless, it has been returned to the agenda, and in itself this is indicative, characteristic and symptomatic, this is the work of Nord Stream – 2. It seemed like he was an absolute corpse, not subject to resurrection. No, at least there are already expert voices that Nord Stream 2 could be launched in the current situation in order to prevent an uncontrolled reduction in Russian gas supplies.
Therefore, Putin is convinced that not only do sanctions have no effect on him, since he is wearing a cursed shirt, but they lead to destructive processes in Europe, and therefore, as he intends, he will push and squeeze. Blinken’s next threats of sanctions will not have any effect on the Kremlin, and the corresponding referendums on September 11 will not be held only if there is a successful counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Belkovsky chatted.
