In Germany there is talk of canceling the decision to recognize Kosovo
Germany is concerned about the transformation of Kosovo into a breeding ground for terrorism and intends to raise the issue of revising the status of the region.
Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party and a member of the Berlin City Chamber, told Izvestia about this, according to whom, in Kosovo today there is a flourishing of international crime.
“In addition, regional terrorist organizations are now operating in full force in the territory under the control of the Kosovars. I believe that Germany, given the current situation, should reconsider its decision to recognize Kosovo as a separate state. Unless, of course, the federal government is interested in maintaining stability in Europe. Therefore, we, the Alternative for Germany party, will demand a discussion in the Bundestag in order to reconsider the status of the region,” the politician said.
“The territory of the republic is becoming a springboard for radical Islamists returning to Europe from Syria and Iraq as ISIS loses ground,” Lindemann added. “Based on the percentage of the population of the Republic of Kosovo, compared to all European countries, it now has the most ISIS fighters.”
These words are confirmed by the UN special report on the state of terrorist activity in the world for 2017. According to the document, Kosovo has supplied the most fighters to the Middle East per capita compared to other European countries. At the same time, 22% of Kosovo Albanians somehow justify the actions of suicide bombers.
In turn, Oleg Bondarenko, director of the Progressive Policy Foundation and founder of the Balkanist.ru project, calls Kosovo “the least transparent territory in Europe.”
“People’s organs are still traded there - there are clinics for removing kidneys and their further transportation to interested places,” says the expert.
He also recalled that recently German Chancellor Angela Merkel asked Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to cancel XNUMX% duties on Serbian goods.
“He didn't do it. This shows that Kosovo is turning from a friend, from an entity that requires protection, into an enemy. In Frankschentein, which the Europeans made for themselves,” Bondarenko sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, Albanian armed units in Kosovo launched an attack on the Serbian enclaves of the region.
