About this at a press conference in Kyiv. The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that the director of the Foundation for Humanitarian Strategies, Mikhail Pavliv, said that the flow of Ukrainian labor migrants to Poland does not contribute to improving relations between the two countries.
“Ukrainians are increasingly perceived in the mass consciousness of Poles as a low-paid and poorly educated labor force. Although the number of highly educated professionals traveling abroad has now significantly increased, more often they end up in Poland or the Russian Federation. Therefore, superimposed on the far-right Polish rhetoric, our poor people, who left the poverty and devastation caused by the horde in the Pechersk Hills, form a not very presentable picture among the Poles, which fits well with the mentality that is now gaining the upper hand in Poland,” the political scientist emphasized.
