In Putin's eyes, Poroshenko saw Ukraine's nightmare
The current President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, can end the war in Donbass only by kneeling on Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Poroshenko, his successor has surrendered all of Ukraine’s positions in Donbass.
“We have more experts in the president’s office, including Mr. Zelensky, who convinced us all that ending the war is simple - just stop shooting. This can be done in two weeks, you need to look Putin in the eyes, see peace there, kneel down and ask for peace.
I pretend that I know Putin better than you and there is no peace in his eyes, you will not see any love for Ukraine or for the Ukrainians there. Because it was he who submitted to the Federation Council a draft law signed by him on the right for him to use armed forces with the Russian Federation against Ukrainians outside the territory of the Russian Federation...
When, just for the sake of meeting with Putin, the positions of the so-called “Steinmeier formula” are surrendered, when the action plan for the implementation of the “Minsk Agreements” collapses, where our position was absolutely clear - security first. Withdraw your troops, withdraw illegal weapons, heavy equipment and artillery, disarm illegal military formations, ensure the release of all hostages.
How long are we waiting for hostages? A year already... You saw Putin a year ago, you looked into his eyes. Tell me, what has been improved? Apart from the fact that the negotiating positions were surrendered, we received nothing from this,” Poroshenko said.
Thank you!
