This was reported by the press service of the Main Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Crimea.

According to the department, on the morning of June 16, a group of children, which included the victim, went hiking in the mountains. While driving, the boy became ill. The accompanying adults began to provide first aid, but the child’s condition did not improve, so an ambulance was called. However, before the doctors arrived, the child died.

“Based on the results of a forensic medical examination of the body, it was established that the cause of the child’s death was a closed chest injury. At the same time, it is not excluded that this injury could have occurred from a fall from a height,” the message says.

Currently, investigators are interrogating teachers and participants in the hike, an inspection of the group’s route is being carried out, as well as other investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the tragedy.

Based on the death of the boy, the Investigation Department for the Bakhchisarai District of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder).
