As Navigator reported, Alexander Shulzhenko led the Gorlovka police as a “people’s” leader after the storming of the city department building by pro-Russian activists on April 14.
“I am police lieutenant colonel Alexander Fedorovich Shulzhenko, I recognize the Donetsk People’s Republic. I undertake to maintain law and order and the protection of private and public property. I undertake to lead an honest lifestyle,” the portal “06242” quotes the document signed by Shulzhenko.
Also under the application is the signature of the Co-Chairman of the Presidium of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
The day before, the prosecutor began a pre-trial investigation into Shulzhenko. He is charged with abuse of power. He himself explains the decision to head the city department by the need to protect public order. Shulzhenko also stated that the Kyiv authorities do not control the situation, and if a special operation is carried out on the territory of Gorlovka, he will meet the participants of the operation “with gifts.”
