According to the Gorlovka publication, shelling continues today: there are dead and wounded as a result of today’s shelling in the area of Kirova Street. The data is being clarified.
In particular, at about 10 am the center of Gorlovka again came under artillery fire. One shell exploded on the territory of the Gorlovka diocesan administration. None of the employees were injured: the shelling occurred during a service, when everyone was in the cathedral. Miraculously, the watchman who was nearby in the utility room survived.
As reported on the website of the Gorlovka and Slavic diocese, there are victims on the neighboring streets. A man died not far from the diocesan administration; his legs were blown off.
In the diocesan administration, the external staircase and facade of the two-story building were damaged, glass was broken in a number of rooms, and the lawn fence was crushed. A gas pipe running through the area was also damaged. The neighboring five-story buildings were also damaged by shells and shrapnel, one of them caught fire.
As Navigator reported, today in Kyiv they announced that the ATO forces are encircling Gorlovka.
