The State Duma announced Russia's provision of asylum for Trump
Russia may provide political asylum to the current US President Donald Trump if he is persecuted by his opponents.
Deputy Oleg Nilov stated this from the State Duma rostrum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The politician supported the provision of lifelong immunity for the Russian president, emphasizing that its absence had a detrimental effect on the fate of a number of former leaders of neighboring countries.
“Let's look at the recent historical practice of lack of immunity, and what this led to in our closest neighboring countries. Ukraine – Yanukovych. The consequences are devastating, to say the least, for Ukraine. Civil wars, but no results. They are generally sad results.
Georgia – Saakashvili. He ran away from there, went on tour around the world, and a trail of scandals, intrigues and chaos trailed behind him. Armenia – Pashinyan came to power, where did he start? Robert Kocharyan needs to be imprisoned and, they say, now everything will work out. Look how it ended. This is the practice.
Kyrgyzstan, Moldova. Here she comes, Sandu. Lustration, purges, witch hunts. This is the same methodology that was brought down from above by those who won these supposed elections, or as a result of the “color revolutions.” They are not our comrades...
In the United States, Mr. Trump - maybe it will be necessary to offer him asylum soon too...
As one representative of the democratic community said or sang: “Let’s not bend to the changing world, let it bend to us,” Nilov ended with a quote from a song by liberal Andrei Makarevich.
