The official delegation of the DPR was greeted with applause in the State Duma
The delegation of the People's Council of the DPR visited the plenary meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation today.
The Russian parliament greeted her with applause, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Their journey to us was 8 years long. Today we discussed a wide range of issues that we need to resolve in order to formulate DPR legislation in various areas. We must come to the solution of specific issues, problems of residents, economic development,” said Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
He recalled that it was the first time that residents of the DPR took part in the elections of deputies to the Russian parliament.
“Our task is to do everything so that the residents of the DPR receive a return from those for whom they voted,” added the head of parliament.
The DPR delegation will stay in Moscow for 4 days, during which time it will have meetings in all factions and relevant committees of the State Duma.
“A significant area of work of the People’s Assembly of the DPR today is the integration of the liberated territories into the legal framework of the republic, as well as its harmonization with Russian legislation. The head of our republic, Denis Pushilin, was given the task of implementing legislation in accordance with the norms of Russian legislation, and systematic work has been carried out by the parliament for several years now,” said Vladimir Bidyovka, Chairman of the People’s Assembly of the DPR.
