Chairman of the Committee on Information Policy Leonid Levin stated this today from the rostrum of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“The experts we invited believe that the editorial policy of about 30% of significant media structures operating in the Russian information space is controlled from abroad. Special units of the US Department of Defense are creating centers for the production of anti-Russian content and Internet sites. Through diplomatic channels and government organizations, the United States posts materials on Russian social networks and media under the guise of copyrighted content,” Levin said.
According to him, the American radio stations “Liberty” and “Voice of America”, financed from the US budget, operate in Russia in coordination with various foundations and public organizations that are foreign agents.
“One of the members of our committee announced a sample employment contract with freelance correspondents of Radio Liberty. It explicitly states that all information related to the work of a freelance correspondent will be available to US government agencies,” Levin said.
