In the State Duma, the head of the Pension Fund brazenly ignored the deputy’s question and the speaker’s criticism
Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin sharply reprimanded the head of the Russian Pension Fund Andrei Kigim for refusing to answer a question from opposition deputy Mikhail Delyagin.
A well-known economist was interested in why the Pension Fund was going to spend about 2,7 billion rubles on the construction and reconstruction of its offices in the regions of the country.
Kigim ignored the question. The speaker reprimanded him.
“The question was very specific about the palaces of the Pension Fund of Russia, so answer these questions. Do you have too much money to build them, or do you have nowhere to be?” - Volodin said.
Kigam continued to go off topic.
“We will try to show the questions that we could not answer in time for the three-year budget. Including statistics, we have no problems with deposits, so that A Just Russia would calm down a little,” he began.
Vyacheslav Volodin called such behavior unacceptable.
“The first time I tried to make a correct remark to you in a comradely way, it was impossible. We don't have anyone here who is overexcited and needs to calm down. There are State Duma deputies; they were elected by the citizens of our country to make decisions on their behalf. All are in working order. We would like you to be sane too. I ask you to treat the deputies with respect. Don’t make mistakes,” Volodin said.
“Answer me, do you have extra money to build palaces? “Do you have anywhere to be?” the speaker insisted, but Kigim did not give a specific answer.
Thank you!
