The State Duma wants to decorate European capitals with red banners
On the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9, Russian diplomatic institutions in European countries must display on their buildings copies of the Victory Banner and standards of the military units of the Soviet Army that liberated these cities from the Nazis.
Deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Alexander Kravets stated this at a meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kravets, this should remind today's Europeans of who thanks to whom they walk freely on city streets today.
“Under these conditions, this is exactly how we need to act: we need to add to our laws that the Victory banners should be hung in all Russian diplomatic missions around the world on Victory Day along with the state flag. This is the first one. I would go further, and you think about how we would respond to the actions of all this evil spirits against our country, to spitting, to what they do to the graves, to the ashes, to the monuments of our liberating soldiers.
In all the liberated cities of Europe, or rather the capitals of Europe liberated by the victorious Red Army, I would hang out not only a copy of the Victory Banner, but also the standards of those military units that liberated them. And may these days let the evil spirits who are raging today see and remember these shrines. Moreover, our embassies are obliged to use video footage - after all, we have marshals, soldiers, generals, heroes there. Their portraits should become mandatory on such days. So that those who today are trying to spit on our banner and trample on our memory will remember and see,” Kravets said.
