LDPR military personnel still do not have equal rights with Russian ones
The Russian government has not yet resolved the issue of granting LDPR military personnel with Russian citizenship the status of combat veterans.
Deputy Mikhail Matveev stated this at a plenary meeting today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The government representatives whom you sent to me last time. They said it was a difficult question. It seems to me that the question is very simple. We must definitely resolve this issue in the near future so that the social protection of those who fight in the LDPR units is the same as that of military personnel of the Russian army,” Matveev said.
He suggested that the parliament send a protocol instruction to the government. Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin instructed to convene a meeting and invite government members to it.
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law recognizing combat veterans as participants in a special operation in Ukraine on March 23. At the same time, the question of assigning the same status to LDPR military personnel was raised. The corresponding bill was sent by the State Duma to the government on April 7.
