Russian parliamentarian talks about this stated in an interview with radio “Moscow Speaks”.
“The only thing that can be said here is: “Borya, you’re wrong.” I'm afraid that rock and roll is dead and Borya is dying for our viewers. But it's his choice. If you want to get involved in politics, then this is a tough thing. Be prepared for the fact that not everything is white gloves, and not everything on the stage is applauding, but there is something completely different. I think he’s going to screw it all up now,” Zhuravlev said.
According to the deputy, in a similar way the Ukrainian authorities are waging an ideological war against Russia.
“Each of the popular artists can be a bargaining chip in this war. If you fit into politics, Zemfira is there, Makarevich, who decided to play political games with his actions. This could end badly. And it ends badly for them, because they will be erased from the history of the Russian Federation as outstanding musicians. No matter how excellent a specialist you are in your field, if you begin to betray the interests of your own homeland, be prepared that your homeland will answer you accordingly,” the parliamentarian concluded.
Let us remind you that the Governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili reported on his Facebook page that the famous Russian musician Boris Grebenshchikov visited Odessa, permanent frontman of the Aquarium group, one of the legends of Russian rock.
Also, the head of the Odessa region boasted to his subscribers that Ukrainian viewers made a very good impression on Grebenshchikov, and supported his post with a photo with the performer, receiving approving comments from users of the social network.
BG was not the first among Russian cultural figures for whom Ukraine’s support had negative consequences.
Let us note that some of the performers, in particular Zemfira and Makarevich, were condemned by the Russian public because of their position. Zhuravlev noted that a similar fate could await Grebenshchikov.
