The State Duma is unhappy: They allocate money to Crimea and Sevastopol, but local officials cannot use
The authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol have not spent more than 10 billion rubles allocated for the development of the peninsula under the federal target program. Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Andrei Makarov stated this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“We took a fairly large amount of funds from the Federal Target Program of Crimea, which are not being used. We have more than 10 billion amendments coming from there. They will not be mastered. We transfer them to housing and communal services in other regions of the country. We will restore the necessary funds in the 2017 budget when they are needed. This is a master’s attitude towards money,” Makarov said.
The issue of Crimean money was raised by communist deputy Tamara Pletneva. She noted that more than a billion rubles allocated for the construction of children's institutions in Crimea and Sevastopol have not been spent.
“What haven’t they completed or mastered? Why don't we punish then? We don’t spend enough money on children anyway, and suddenly this happens,” Pletneva said.
