The State Duma accused the government of failing to fulfill its moral duty to the Donbass fighters
The government of the Russian Federation has not responded for more than a month to the bill presented on April 7 by the State Duma of the Russian Federation on granting the status of combat veteran to military personnel of the LDPR who are citizens of Russia.
Deputy Mikhail Matveev stated this at a parliamentary meeting today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is no response so far. I sent both a letter and a telegram to Mishustin. We need to hurry them up. What's the delay? Are they against it, but are embarrassed to say so? The question is important - both from a moral point of view and from a defense point of view,” Matveev said.
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law recognizing combat veterans as participants in a special operation in Ukraine on March 23. At the same time, the question of assigning the same status to LDPR military personnel was raised.
