The State Duma announced an unexpected response to arms supplies to Ukraine
Russia must respond symmetrically to possible supplies of lethal weapons to Ukraine. Deputy Oleg Nilov stated this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“There are concrete actions on that side, but not on our side. I mean the decision of Congress to place $500 million worth of lethal weapons on the closest borders of Russian soil.
It is necessary to supply lethal weapons to the countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This will be the answer. This will be adequate. They are here for 500 million, and we will supply the same amount of weapons to your underbelly,” Nilov said.
In early May, the US Senate approved the draft federal budget until September 30, 2017, which still provides for financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of at least $410 million, including for military support. It was noted that the Pentagon could spend $150 million to “provide assistance, including (military) training, equipment, lethal defense weapons, logistics assistance,” as well as “intelligence community assistance for the military and national security forces of Ukraine.”
