The State Duma celebrated Stalin's birthday
Member of the Communist Party faction Vyacheslav Markhaev today in the State Duma, before asking a question to the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, decided to congratulate his colleagues and the country on Stalin’s birthday.
“Today is Joseph Stalin’s birthday. We congratulate our multinational people on this date. This is the era of the most industrialized power in the world, which produced not only galoshes,” Markhaev said.
Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin tried to translate Markhaev’s congratulations into a joke, noting that today is also the birthday of Deputy Speaker Sergei Neverov.
“Let's congratulate him. As for Joseph Vissarionovich, they mentioned it correctly. And it’s Rokossovsky’s birthday. We must remember and rely on the working man. Here is an example of United Russia, when, relying on a working person, it received a majority in the State Duma. If the Communist Party of the Russian Federation does this, you will have more and more votes. What's wrong? Sergei Ivanovich worked in the mine for 16 years. Where else will you see such a deputy who came from the mines to politics at the most difficult time. Stood up to defend workers' rights. And today is the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma,” Volodin said.
However, the minister did not pay attention to the speaker’s teasing and took the Soviet leader’s congratulations seriously.
“I’m joining, this is an important date. A great politician and statesman. Indeed, during his reign, a lot was done to develop industry,” Manturov said.
Thank you!
