“The Deputy Prime Minister, by his action/inaction, allowed himself to be banned for life by the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from participating in the Olympic Games “in any capacity.” In addition, Mutko was unable to fulfill the obligations imposed on him by the State and win the opportunity for the Russian national team to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang,” the statement of claim says.
Rashkin asks the court to oblige the Deputy Prime Minister to resign, and also to apologize to all Russian citizens “for humiliating the honor and dignity of the country.”
